After a streak of losses against top flight teams Brackley looked to bounce back against local team Chesterton.
Brackley started off on the front foot dominating the play with a few chances stopped by the Chesterton goalkeeper. Brackley was first to break the deadlock as skipper Sam Mconnell crossed a fast paced ball for Joe Donahue to tuck away 1-0. The first half continued with Brackley creating plenty of chances however with 10 minutes to go Chesterton found a scrappy goal after a corner.
The second half Brackley came back hungry, winning individual battles and keeping the ball. Lance Ernesta put us back in the lead with an incredible solo finish 2-1. Chesterton against the run of play won a penalty and a chance to get back into the game after our player got sent to the sin bin.... Ball fired straight over the cross bar like a rocket. Even with one less player on the pitch Chesterton could not contain Charlie Jefferies finding Jake Maskell who then used his pace to drive around the keeper and score 3-1. Brackley now fully in control of the game passed the ball about not allowing Chesterton to get a touch, attack after attack Chesterton could not keep up Joe Donahue found the net for the second time from a volley in the 6yard box 4-1. Brackleys next attack forced an error from the goalie who handled the ball outside of the area resulting in a straight red card. Mark Furness just 5 minutes later drove into the box winning a penalty which he popped the ball straight down the middle taking Brackley to 5-1. With 2 minutes to play Brackley didn't stop as Lance left 3 Chesterton players for dust and squared the ball to Jake Maskell who also grabbed his second goal of the game 6-1 FINAL SCORE!
