Kettering Youth U13 Girls vs Brackley Town U13 Girls - 17th April 2021

The girls played Kettering youth away on a beautiful morning for football. Both teams started well with an attack each within the first minute. The rest of the half followed suit from end to end football but with both teams defending excellently they were forced into long shots and half chances. Kettering then took the lead off a deflected corner and went into half time 1-0 up.

Brackley came straight out of the blocks in the second half, pressing high and playing some great football but Kettering remained resolute in their defending blocking every cross and shot. With 10 minutes remaining Alice got onto the ball high up, cutting back and crossing into Evie who controlled brilliantly before finishing in to the top left corner. Brackley didn’t let up and it was only a couple minutes before they took the lead after some great pressing led Lauren to win the ball high up in Ketterings box, crossing into Alice who took her finish with great composure. Brackley didn’t let up and with the momentum the girls remained in control playing some great football. Alice delivered another great cross into the box for Lilly T who controlled well and slotted in to the bottom right for her first ever goal! Then came a 4th from a short corner between Alice and Phoebe S crossing to Evie who finished well at the back post to round off a great performance and relentless final 10 minutes from the girls.
