Easington v Brackley Town u12’s

3 Aims:

  1. Can we intercept ball 10 times centrally in opposition half? – Success (12)
  2. Can we start deep on goal kicks? (hopefully making them play out short) – Success in the second half
  3. Can we get between centre backs 5 times? Success

The aim this week was looking at forcing play inside when defending in the final 1/3rd and even though we were missing 5 players, we put in a great performance to come back from 3-0 down and get a last gasp draw.

4 u11’s came in for us today and all grew into the game tremendously and this was a reflection of the whole team, our goals conceded were all sloppy but we then dominated the second half and even though we didn’t score our first until there was 12 minutes left, we kept going to the final whistle.

The goals themselves came from Finch but credit also has to come from Main and Roberts who created space for him to run through the middle

What the stats say

Innes and Harwood put in defensive blinders dominating the interception stats (10 and 12 respectively) and Innes (16) along with Richardson (14) lead the passing stats and with this kept the team going.

Goal Scorers: Finch (3)

Assists: Roberts, Shergold, Richardson

Final Score 3-3
