Academy Match Reports

Saturday 6th October

Despite playing in the worst conditions so far this year, it didn’t stop the under 12s from maintaining second in the league with a 12-3 thriller, where every outfield player had a contribution to a least one goal. Luke managed to get 3 assists and Chester, Jude and Reece each got 2 assists as well. Goals from Luke, Jack, Alex, Kyle, Ben Shergold and braces for Mikey and Reece, as well a hat-trick for Jude made it a day that will not be forgotten in a hurry.

Rough conditions for the players. Wind and rain, on a big pitch.

Bloxham U10 v Brackley Town Juniors U10 - Sat 6th October

A really encouraging performance from Brackley in increasingly torrid conditions at Bloxham's recreation ground but great credit to both teams who bravely battled the elements to put on an inspiring show for the enthusiastic (but very wet!) supporters!

The best performance so far from our U10's who recovered from a very early setback to really dominate proceedings, the most pleasing aspect being their sheer willingness to battle through the rain to support each other and a lovely understating positionally to enable some really great moves to develop!

Leigh & Bransford Badgers Orient v Brackley Town u15's

Brackley Town u15's travelled up the M5 to Powick, Worcester to meet today's opposition in their latest league fixture. However the game started with the Badgers on the front foot & Brackley struggling to contain the opposition. Brackley were playing a very high line & we were lucky not to get exposed early doors. Brackley were trying to come to terms with the new formation which did take us about 15mins before it started to click. Brackley were now finding that the shape gave us triangles & diamonds all over the pitch when we had possession & our passing game was beginning to come together.
