Academy Match Reports

Both of Brackley Town’s Under 7s were in action on Saturday 6th October.  The Juniors played away at Banbury Irish in a game played out in awful conditions, so wet and cold.  The Juniors found themselves 2-0 down before they got going and the honours were shared 6-6 in what was a very good game against a strong side.  Mason found the net 4 times, including a really nice free kick and Dawson scored twice.  Coach Mark said “what was really pleasing was despite the awful weather the boys kept going”.

The Development team were at home to Easington Sports in another game played out in awful conditions.  The Development team also found themselves behind early on going a goal down, however the boys got going and ran out convincing winners by 7 goals to 1.  Ryley netted 5 times and Ellis grabbed 2.  Coach Chris said “this was a very promising performance”.

Brackley Town Juniors U10 v Chipping Norton Swifts (White) - Sat 29th October:

Three matches into our new season at U10 and a very buoyant group of young players emerged after a great performance against Chipping Norton at Kings Sutton!..

Delighted that we were really able to get going from the 'off' this time round yet still managed to sustain good energy levels throughout and ending really strongly in the blazing sunshine..

Bicester Colts v Brackley Town (u12) 29/9/18

In what was a lively fixture, the u12s were able to get a 2nd win in a row by beating Bicester Colts, as they continue to climb the league table. Goals from Kyle, Jack and Ben Shergold gave the u12s enough to clinch a 4-3 win. It was another decent performance again from the players as they pushed themselves to the max in order for them to control the tempo of the match.

Just one of our Under 7s in action on Saturday 29th, our Juniors who played away at Easington Sports.  This was the second league game of the season for our Juniors and they dominated the first half creating lots of chances, hitting the post on several occasions but not finding the net.  In the second half our Juniors continued to dominate and were rewarded with Harr coolly slotting home three goals as they ran out 3-1 winners.  A very promising performance.
