Headline: The Vanarama First Fortnight – Brackley desperate to settle after rocky first fortnight

First paragraph: League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far - and what’s ahead!

Story so far…

In a word. Inconsistent. It’s been an up and down start for Kev Wilkin’s men so far. After their opening day win, they had to wait three games for their next one with only a point coming in between. Plenty of more game time left though!

From the gaffer…

Kev Wilkin admitted his side are starting to be more cohesive and hope they can build from their last two positive results going forward and says what he saw in those games gives him confidence they can “give themselves a chance in most games we play.”

Stat attack...

League position: 13th

Home goals for: 3

Away goals for: 0

Home goals against: 1

Away goals against: 3

Top scorer: Shane Byrne, Shep Murombedzi, Lee Ndlovu (1)

The fans think...

Fan @SeanEllam1 believes he was watching two of the division’s promotion contenders on Saturday. He said: “Both teams will be in the mix at end of season judging by today” after Brackley’s win over Altrincham.

After letting their lead slip against King’s Lynn, @DanReed1990 is hoping it won’t become a regular thing. He said: “Too many games last season we dropped points at the death, hope this is a one off this season!”

Who’s next?

Not many sides will want to head to Edgar Street if Hereford keep up their recent form. Tim Harris is in temporary control and seems to have found the winning formula. Brackley haven’t managed a goal on the road yet and that needs to change.

Keep tabs on...

Bradley Ash looks like someone who could be crucial for the Bulls after some glimpses of real quality. But also, be wary of the goal threat Tom Owen-Evans and Rowan Liburd carry.

Last time out….

The pair faced each other three times last season with one encounter coming in the FA Trophy. Hereford will need to break the mould – Brackley won all three meetings.
