General News

we've decided to set up a Just Giving Page to help raise funds for our amazing NHS! They're doing a fantastic job at this difficult time whilst we're asked to stay at home!

So, whilst you're at home and the sun is shining we have set up a keepy up challenge;

Do 5, Donate £5, Nominate 5 people!

Complete 5 keepy ups, donate £5* to the Just Giving page and then nominate 5 people to keep the challenge going! (*If you can't donate £5, please donate what you can!)

The money raised will go towards Northamptonshire Health Charity.

Northamptonshire Health Charity support local NHS hospitals and community services above and beyond what the NHS should provide.  They are the registered charity for Northampton General Hospital and Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and exist to make things better for patients, their families and the staff who treat them.  We do this by providing the funding for up to date equipment, research and all the important extras that make our hospitals and community services so special.

Everyone has a local NHS funded service they use so let's try and help them.

If this can raise, just, £500 we will be over the moon!

Good luck everyone!

“We are immensely proud to be involved in non-league football and watching the Vanarama National League grow year on year has been truly amazing. We don’t want to see any UK club collapse due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Andy Alderson, CEO and Founder of Vanarama.

“We understand that this is an incredibly stressful time for clubs across the country and finding the right government funding can be overwhelming.

"As a company we pride ourselves in providing industry leading customer service, so, have further invested in training our customer service team so that they can offer sound advice and guide clubs in these difficult times.”

The National League's CEO, Michael Tattersall, said: “This is a fantastic scheme from Vanarama, who have further shown their amazing commitment to our league by offering support and advice to our clubs in a time of need.

We know this will give all of our clubs a boost to know they have an expert helping hand through such a difficult period”.

The National League wishes to place on record its gratitude to the Premier League for an advance in its annual solidarity payments.

The Premier League unanimously voted to send funds to The National League three months earlier than originally scheduled.

At its Board Meeting on Friday, The National League decided to use its best endeavours to keep its season going in the face of unprecedented adversity

However, with the current coronavirus (COVID-19) reaching global pandemic levels it has to accept that the situation is now out of its own control.

In the knowledge of the government measures now announced including not to support sporting events with emergency services workers it is clearly not practical for its fixtures to be fulfilled in the immediate future.

In those circumstances and in line with The Football Association and the Professional Game, at a Board Meeting today, The National League has decided that its competition is now suspended until at least 3rd April 2020.

The National League will continue to monitor the situation, but trusts that its loyal clubs, fans, players, officials, staff, volunteers and sponsors will accept that it has had no other choice but to reach this decision.

It wishes everybody connected with the competition and indeed the whole country a safe passage through these turbulent times.
