Brackley Town are delighted to announce that following a change of heart, Alfie Bates has signed a new deal to remain at Brackley Town for the forthcoming season.

The 23-year-old had originally looked to move on from St James Park but we are delighted to have him back on board.

Alfie joined the Saints in January 2023 from Finnish club SJK Seinajoki and has gone on to make 55 appearances, scoring 3 goals for the Saints so far.

Manager Gavin Cowan had this to say about Alfie's signing “Alfie is a huge talent as we all know so it’s a fantastic signing as part of what we’re trying to do, and I’m glad we were able to get there in the end. Alfie has conducted himself with nothing but class since I came to the club and know this could be a huge season for him!”
