Brackley Town are delighted to announce the loan signing of West Brom striker Layton Love

The 19-year-old from West Bromwich Albion joins the Saints on loan until January, he is a player who is capable of playing across any of the attacking front three positions but mainly gets played through the middle.

The towering target man possesses good ability on the ball, has an eye for goal and is a physical presence up front. At 6ft 4in, Love's height has aided several aspects of his game to allow teammates to play off him or go direct into the forward in matches.

His first season as a scholar saw the striker net seven goals in 21 appearances during the 2021/22 U18 Premier League South campaign. Love made his first appearance off the bench for Albion's PL2 side in the same season, featuring against Reading at The Hawthorns in November 2021.

Layton finished his final year as a scholar with double-figures for the U18s - bagging an impressive 13 goals and an assist in 20 matches, as well as breaking his PL2 duck with a goal on the final day of the 22/23 season against Leeds.

He now joins the Saints looking to gain valuable experience in the National League North.

Welcome to St James Park Layton!
