Scarborough Athletic are the visitors to St James Park on Saturday for a National League North fixture with an earlier than usual kick-off time of 2pm.

Scarborough are enjoying a strong campaign currently sitting 10th, two places and one point behind Gavin Cowan’s side in 8th but having played two fewer games. Athletics’ form is among the best in the division, although home form exceeds form on the road.

When the sides met in September at the Flamingo Land Stadium Jonathon Greening’s side came out on top with a goal in half, Danny Newton grabbing a goal back for Saints from the penalty spot in a game played on Scarborough’s 3G surface in searing heat. Curtis Durose and Lewis Maloney were on the score-sheet for the Sea Dogs.

Having missed both Newton and Layton Love on Saturday at Curzon Ashton through suspension both are available for selection again. For Scarborough, Ryan Qualter returns after suspension.

Saturday’s match is followed up by the local derby double header starting at Banbury on Boxing Day with the return at SJP on New Year’s Day. These are all ticket games with a 1pm kick off.

Santa will also be making an appearance with a sack full of goodies for the children.

The car park at St James Park is limited and spaces cost £3 per car in the new car park.
