Memories - Summertime BBQ
After several weeks on tour the SCP have taken up home in the Cabin back at Brackley Town. Although not ideal for our growing and demanding needs it was so lovely to be back on site and back home.
With a selection of freshly baked cakes from our members and some extra nibbles donated by our local Waitrose we were all able to have a good chat to fellow members.
Rods Bingo was held at 11am, which is always incredibly popular. Larger and Larger then gave us a great show which everyone throughly enjoyed.
As with a traditional British Summer BBQ it was all set up outside, then inside only to be taken outside again as the sun shined on us all in the last minutes before serving.
With a great selection of meats and salads followed by a the selection of puddings everyone went away with fully bellies.
The BBQ is always incredibly popular and something a little different for many members, who very much look forward to this annual event.
On Sunday we held a carboot in the car park and it was so lovely to see so many members running the stalls and helping with the traffic and raffle to raise funds for this group. A huge thank you to all those involved and came along on the day. It’s greatly appreciated.
