National League North action returns for Kevin Wilkin’s side on Saturday with a trip to Alfreton.

Both The Reds and Saints lost in last Saturday’s 2nd qualifying round FA Cup ties s will be looking to bounce back with league points.
Alfreton started the season well, undefeated in the first five games with three draws and two wins, the wins coming against Southport and Kettering.

Then came defeats against Chorley and King’s Lynn and a draw against Hereford to leave The Reds in 14th place after eight games.
After a mixed opening to the season, Brackley hit a good run of form of three wins and a draw before crashing out of the cup in a home loss against Worksop Town so getting back to winning ways in the league at Alfreton is the order of the day for Saints. Injury and illness kept experienced duo James Armson and Glenn Walker out of the side against Worksop but both should be available again for selection on Saturday.
