Brackley will take a six-game unbeaten run into Tuesday night’s home game when Peterborough Sports are the visitors with a 7.45pm kick-off.
After back-to-back home wins against Buxton and Boston Saints travelled on Saturday to Bradford and returned to Northamptonshire with all three points. Having started well Saints fell behind to an excellent free-kick but came back in the second half to level through Martin Woods’ first goal for the club, a penalty after Adam Rooney was fouled, before Cosmos Matwasa rifled in the winner after fine work by Glenn Walker to set up the chance.
Jordan Cullinane-Liburd is not available on Tuesday, the first game of his suspension following his red card against Boston, and with several players struggling with knocks manager Roger Johnson has only a limited squad at his disposal. “The schedule is what it is,” Johnson said. “The players are footballers and we are coaches and we have to get on with it, it is our job. So the players have to recover properly to be ready for the next game but we are on a good run of form and there is rightly a lot of confidence in there.”
Newly promoted Peterborough lost at AFC Fylde on Saturday but went into that game unbeaten in the previous four matches.
