Spennymoor Town FC V Brackley Town FC - Vanarama National League North - Saturday 26th March 2022 - KO 3.00pm
After Tuesday night’s home win over Alfreton Town Saints travel on Saturday to Spennymoor.
The midweek win meant Saints kept pace with leaders Gateshead who also won, maintained a ten point lead over third placed AFC Fylde and stretched the lead over Kidderminster to 15 points.
But the next few games present a really very tough test for Kevin Wilkin’s side with the trip to the North-East followed by Gateshead the next visitors to St James Park and then a midweek away trip to Curzon Ashton.
Spennymoor has not always been a happy hunting ground for Brackley but they come into the game off of an unbeaten run of 12 games and 4 straight wins conceding just once in the last 8 matches.
Spennymoor themselves put a strong run together before successive defeats against AFC Telford and AFC Fylde so will be eager to get back to winning ways to secure a play-off spot in joint managers’ Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson’s first season in charge.
“Spennymoor are a terrific side with very capable players in their group,” Wilkin said. “Our boys have done very well to this point and we need to hold it together now over these last 10 games.”
If you cannot get to the game you can listen to live commentary from The Brewery Field on Brackley Town Radio via Mixlr from the website. BBC Radio Oxford and BBC Radio Northampton will carry live pre-match, half-time and full-time reports.
