Brackley got back to winning ways after their mid-week loss to Chorley with an accomplished win against a strong Curzon side in decent form themselves.

After a quiet opening Brackley started to dominate possession and after Matt Lowe had gone close with a shot pushed away by keeper’ Mason the Saints took the lead when Baker was found in the box and with a classy first touch and shot found the far corner of the net to put Brackley in front.

Baker then headed wide when well placed and Shane Byrne pulled a great save from Mason from 25 yards.

Curzon had their first chance of the game when McAtee got a shot away but Danny Lewis tipped away to safety.

Brackley continued to press after the restart and in the 55th minute got their second, Lee Ndlovu got free on the left and squared for Carl Baker to grab his second with a first time shot into the corner.

On 63 minutes Shane Byrne had a header cleared off the line and a minute later Nti hit the keepers legs when clean through.

Baker had further chances to complete his hat-trick and Curzon hit the post 15 minutes from time when Miller’s curling shot came back off the upright.

Brackley will be happy though with a win that continues their good recent form and see’s them move into 4th place.
