 The Venue

Work on The Venue at Brackley Town Football Club continues with great progress being made ready for hand-over soon.  All of the rooms are now formed with heating and ventilation systems installed.  The second fixes of electrics and plumbing are almost complete and the cubicle systems in the bathroom areas are ready. Flooring is a big job and is almost completed and the bars are now being installed.  The main bar looks terrific!  There is significant works remaining outside including a wall, car parking and road surfacing which is underway as the project comes together.  Decisions have been finalised and the furniture and fittings are on order or are already on site.

The project is on schedule and we are beginning to plan for test events.  We are looking forward to announcing the first opportunities for supporters and members of the wider community to visit and to begin to enjoy The Venue.  For supporters in particular it has been two long years without the kind of facilities we want to provide but we hope you will be impressed by what has been created and will be able to make use of it very soon.

First team

The signing of Connor Franklin has been followed by Ellis Myles signing on again.  Everyone is delighted to have Connor and Ellis on board for the new season.  Watch out for further signings which are imminent.

A further pre-season friendly has been announced.  We will play Banbury United away on Saturday 17 July.

Club personnel

Margaret Oliver has led the club’s important work in child welfare and safe-guarding for many years and done a terrific job building a strong reputation for Brackley Town as a Charter Standard club.  Margaret will continue to advise a new welfare and safe-guarding team that will be led by new appointment Sarah Lightbody alongside Michael Johnson, Rita Cronin and Andrew Bannard.
